CEREMONY TO TAKE PLACE IN HERITAGE PARK DURING THE FIDDLE FEST!
Spirit of Spring Brook, a kinetic wind sculpture by local artist Tim Hare, will be officially presented to the residents of Springville during the Fiddle Fest on July 27 at 1:30 p.m. at Heritage Park.
Artist Tim Hare will participate in the ceremony, as will the Fiddlers Green Militia, colonial re-enactors who celebrate the pioneer origins of the Village of Springville. The ceremony will occur during the Springville Country and Blue Grass Festival.
The placement of the sculpture in Heritage Park conveys the importance of the Spring Brook which is the namesake of the Village incorporated in 1834. Spring Brook which runs through the Village was vital to the growth and commercial development of the Village. Today, Spring Brook provides environmental beauty as if flows through Heritage Park, Shuttleworth Park, and Springville Youth Incorporated.
Tim Hare is a resident of Colden NY and has been creating kinetic wind sculptures for 25 years in Florida and New York.
The sculpture is funded by the residents of Springville and the New York State Council of the Arts with the Support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, administered by the Arts Service Initiative of Western New York.
