Buffalo Bluegrass Youth Ensemble

The Buffalo Bluegrass Youth Ensemble is a club that is open to any students, grades 6-12 who play violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, mandolin, 5 string banjo or Dobro.
They meet every first, third and fifth Monday, October through June at Wayside Presbyterian Church in Hamburg NY from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
The BBYE play songs by Bluegrass pioneers like Bill Monroe, Flatt and Scruggs, Ralph Stanley and Jimmy Martin. We will also play music by newer bluegrass influenced artists like Nickel Creek, Old Crow Medicine Show and the Grateful Dead. Instrumentally our music choices also include traditional Irish and American Fiddle music that has entered the mainstream of American string music. They have performed at local farmer’s markets, The Erie County Fair, The Fiddlers Festivals at the Genesee Country Village and the Fiddlers Green and Bluegrass Festival.
